At World’s End Box Office

So maybe Pirates 3 didn’t quite match Spider-Man 3 or even Pirates 2. We still don’t think anyone should feel bad about the fifth biggest opening in history, the biggest Memorial Day weekend ever, or $205 Million worldwide. We’re expecting a green light on a 4th adventure real soon, or at least confirmation that THE LONE RANGER is gonna happen.

Any theories on why Pirates came up a tad shy of expectations? Was it the reviews? Keep in mind, Spidey 3 got about the same treatment from critics. Was the weather just a bit too nice throughout most of the country? Was Memorial Day weekend the wrong spot for this film?  Too much competition? Too soon after the first sequel?
