According to TMZ, Lucasfilm has begun interviewing writers for its upcoming live action TV series that fills in the gaps between Episode III and IV. The encouraging part of this rumor is that some of the individuals they’re meeting with are writers from LOST and HEROES. Hmmm… who could that be?
Personally, its pretty exciting to think of names like BRIAN K. VAUGHAN and JEPH LOEB possibly getting involved with the STAR WARS mythos. And with LOST wrapping up in a couple years, dare I dream that show masterminds DAMON LINDELOF and CARLTON CUSE might jump over to this big budget, highly anticipated project? The dock scene where Kate, Jack, and Sawyer look at each other before the hoods are thrown over them is a pretty great homage to the Han, Lando, and Luke scene at the start of RETURN OF THE JEDI, and Damon’s a pretty accomplished fanboy.
What do you say guys? Get the Losties off the island and head over to that galaxy far, far away…

Whoa… this is a good one.
As funny as I thought the FAMILY GUY STAR WARS SPECIAL would be, these 9 minutes of clips were EVEN FUNNIER. Really… you’re going to laugh your ass off the whole way through…
This footage was taped at Celebration IV, enjoy it YouTube-style while you can. The special itself won’t air til the fall, but when it does… boy, will it be worth the wait.

Collider’s got a great triple helping of FANBOYS– the full press conference from last weekend’s Star Wars Celebration, AND interviews with star JAY BARUCHEL and director KYLE NEWMAN.
This movie reminds me so much of my life around the time of Episode One’s release… well, no, my friends and I didn’t try to steal a PHANTOM MENACE proof from Lucasfilm, but that anticipation and excitement… the bonding over a film series that helped raise us… and the great stories that love created– believe it, I’ll be there for the opening of FANBOYS, reveling in nostalgia for those glory days almost 10 years ago!
Oh, and just in case you haven’t seen it yet…

Variety’s got all the details on September’s FAMILY GUY Star Wars tribute, and hey– Pedophile Herbert’s playing Obi-Wan Kenobi! That’s hilarious. This is all being done with Lucasfilm’s blessing, much like the upcoming ROBOT CHICKEN Star wars tribute.
Of course, mining Star Wars for gags is nothing new for FG…

Here it is, folks… the OFFICIAL trailer for Lucasfilm’s new Star Wars Animated Series, THE CLONE WARS. It premiered to RAVE reviews at SW Celebration IV, and we can sure as heck see why!
The voice talent sounds great, the animation is top notch, and those fight scenes– whoa. They’re not giving up too many details about this show, which won’t air until Fall 2008 (we don’t even know where yet)– but consider us hooked.
